A
Brief Introduction:
The sport of Shuffleboard combines skill and strategy (and for
some of us, luck). Players try to score points by shoving their own disk
down a 39 foot court to come to rest in a marked scoring area.
Players also attempt to prevent their opponent from scoring by knocking off
the opponent's good disks, or by blocking opportunities to score.
Shuffleboard is unique in that it is possible for a player to take points
away from their opponent by bumping the opponent's disk into the "10-off"
scoring area. Shuffleboard play therefore involves offensive and defensive decision-making.
